Fratelli Bonvini from Milan celebrated 110 years
Fratelli Bonvini, a typographic shop in Milan, collected friends to celebrate 110 years on July 9th. This business is a great example of how you can update very old heritage business. Since 1909 little changed – fountain pens, pots of ink and rubber stamps sit on a wooden counter. Also thousands of wood letters for printing sit in drawers.
The business was on a brink of bankruptcy when Roberto di Puma, current president, met previous owner. Di Puma together with friends managed to get the shop running sustainably again. They selected new stationery, books and accessories for retail, launched typography and printing workshops, and collaborate with contemporary art and design community in Milan.
