Kinfolk x La Paz capsule collection
Antlantic-inspired clothes brand La Paz from Porto and streetwear savvy magazine Kinfolk Life from Brooklyn (not the Kinfolk magazine) have created a capsule collection with an aesthetics from Miami in 1980s.
We know La Paz as a quality and authentic Portuguese brand that has deep roots in maritime culture, fishers and surfing. They use fabrics and make clothes that you can imagine on a true fisherman and they then sometimes shoot campaigns not on models but on fishermen themselves.
Kinfolk Life was actively researching and getting inspired by early 80’s iconography when working on Planet K, and wanted to branch out from the retro future theme of the collection without leaving the 80’s aesthetic. Jose and Andre from La Paz loved the graphics and colors that Kinfolk came up with and they worked together in creating modern pattern that could work for Spring 2016. The entire collection is produced in Portugal at La Paz’s factory from European fabrics.
The nine-piece collection includes such standout pieces as a pastel pink blazer and trousers, as well as a flamingo print short-sleeve button-down.
